30% of every payment for the first 12 months from a client’s first paid invoice, then 10% for as long as they keep paying.
For bookkeepers and BAS agents. If you do the books for a crew whose hours still arrive as a spreadsheet, you already know who retypes them every fortnight. Introduce them to HoursEasy and take a share of everything they pay us, in their first year and every year after.
A share of every invoice they pay, not a one-off fee.
Commission is 30% of every payment each client you refer makes to HoursEasy, excluding GST, for the first 12 months from their first paid invoice, then 10% for as long as they keep paying. The figures below assume monthly billing at the listed prices, which exclude GST.
| Client’s plan | First 12 months from first payment | Each year after |
|---|---|---|
| CrewA$45 a month | A$162A$13.50 a month | A$54a year |
| TeamA$79 a month | A$284.40A$23.70 a month | A$94.80a year |
| SiteA$139 a month | A$500.40A$41.70 a month | A$166.80a year |
| FleetA$249 a month | A$896.40A$74.70 a month | A$298.80a year |
Refer 5 Team clients on monthly billing and that is A$1,422 in their first year from first payment, then A$474 in each year after, for as long as they keep paying. There is no cap on how many clients you refer.
The 12 months start at the first payment
Time on the free plan or a trial before they first pay doesn’t count towards the 12 months, so a client who starts free and pays later still gets you a full first year at 30%. Once the 12 months start they run on the calendar: a pause or an unpaid month inside them does not extend them.
Free months earn nothing
The free plan and trial periods pay HoursEasy nothing, so there is nothing to share. Commission starts with the first payment.
Discounts reduce it
Commission is on what we actually receive. A client on the founding price pays half the listed price, so they earn you half these figures. A client who pays annually pays ten months’ price for twelve: their first annual invoice earns 30%, and each renewal after it earns 10%.
Three steps, and the last one is automatic.
Step 1: We invite you
You get your own link, app.hourseasy.com/r/ followed by your code, and the code itself. Share either however suits you: an email, a proposal, a conversation at the end of a quarter.
Step 2: The client is tied to you when they sign up
A client who follows your link within 90 days, or types your code when they sign up, is tied to you the moment their HoursEasy organisation is created, and stays tied to you. It cannot be added afterwards, and if they followed more than one partner’s link, the most recent one counts.
Step 3: Commission accrues on every paid invoice
Nothing to claim. Each payment adds commission to your partner dashboard, which shows your clicks, sign-ups, clients and their status, and what is owed, pending and paid.
Monthly, by bank transfer, against your ABN.
Payable 30 days after the client pays
A refund, credit or dispute on that payment reduces the commission. If one lands after you have been paid, it comes off your next payout.
Paid monthly in arrears, from A$50
By bank transfer once your payable balance is at least A$50. A smaller balance rolls over to the next month.
GST if you are registered
You need an ABN to be paid. If you are registered for GST, we add 10% GST on top of the commission and you send us a tax invoice. If you are not, you are paid the commission amount.
People who already sit beside the spreadsheet.
- Bookkeepers who key a client’s hours in from a spreadsheet every pay run and would rather receive them already totalled.
- BAS agents whose clients run crews of roughly 1 to 40 people recording hours: civil and site teams, labour hire, survey, trades.
- Practices that see the same fortnightly retyping at several clients and know how much of it is manual.
The programme is by invitation. We would rather have a few partners who understand what HoursEasy does than a long list of links, so a person reads every application.
The ones partners ask first.
How do I apply?
Email hello@hourseasy.com and tell us about your practice and the clients you work with. There is no form. If it is a fit, we invite you, and your link, your code and your dashboard come with the invitation.
When do I get paid?
Commission becomes payable 30 days after the client’s payment, and we pay monthly in arrears by bank transfer once your payable balance reaches A$50. Your dashboard shows what is pending, what is owed and what has been paid.
What if a client starts on the free plan?
They are still tied to you from the day their organisation is created. You earn nothing while they pay nothing, and their 12 months at 30% start from their first paid invoice, however long after sign-up that is.
What if two partners refer the same client?
The most recent partner link they followed in the 90 days before signing up is the one that counts. The client is tied once, when their organisation is created, and never moves to anybody else afterwards.
Can I refer my own business?
No. An organisation you are a member of cannot be referred to you. The programme is for introducing HoursEasy to other people’s businesses.
Do partners see client data?
No. You see each client’s company name, when they signed up and their status. You never see their hours, their people or their prices.
What are the full terms?
They are at app.hourseasy.com/partner/terms, and set out everything on this page in full, including how commission is calculated, reversed and paid.
