What the sign-up form asks for, what your thirty-day trial includes, and what happens if a card or an email goes wrong.

Signing up takes about two minutes and does more than open an account: it creates a working business, with a starting set of task types and a role to build from, and a thirty-day trial that charges nothing today. Here is what the form asks for, what is waiting for you afterwards, and what to expect if a card or an email goes wrong.

The sign-up form

  1. Put in Your work email. Your sign-in link and your welcome email both go here.
  2. Put in Business name.
  3. Choose Plan: Crew (up to 5 people recording hours), Site (up to 20) or Fleet (up to 40). More than forty? Email hello@hourseasy.com instead of signing up.
  4. Choose Billing: monthly, or annually for two months free.

We ask for a card before the trial starts rather than after, because an auto-converting trial has to be disclosed up front — this is also the only point at which the card is checked to be a working one.

The trial

Nothing is charged today. Thirty days from now the card is charged the plan's price — Crew $49 a month ($490 a year), Site $99 a month ($990 a year), Fleet $149 a month ($1490 a year), GST included. Cancel any time before the trial ends, from the Billing screen, and you are not charged at all.

What is waiting when you sign in

A welcome email arrives within a minute with a button, Sign in and finish setting up. There is no password — the link signs you in.

Your business already has four task types (Site work, Travel, Lunch, Leave) and one role, Field worker, so there is something to record hours against from day one. The four setup steps covers renaming and adding to these, pricing your first project, and inviting your crew — the same steps the welcome email's link opens.

If something goes wrong

If checkout cannot start, the sign-up page tells you nothing was charged and asks you to try again or email hello@hourseasy.com. If you back out of checkout partway through, it tells you the same thing. Either way, nothing is created — you can just start again.
