Signed dockets that no longer match

What it means when a signed docket and the work it froze disagree, and how to settle it.

On the Summaries screen, HoursEasy shows you when a client's signed figures and the work itself have drifted apart, and what to do about it before you invoice.

The two kinds of change

A row appears here when a signed docket's frozen figures no longer match the entries and usage it stamped, in one of two ways: hours or quantities were edited after signing, or work was added inside a period a docket already covers, after it was signed — work that never got stamped at all.

Settling it

Accept records that you have looked at the gap and are leaving it as is; the row stays visible even once accepted, because the invoice is still about to carry a figure the client did not literally sign for. Undo reverses that if you change your mind. Separately, an accepted difference comes back by itself — showing as unsettled again — if the work changes again after you accepted it.

If the hours are simply right and the docket is wrong, withdraw it from managing dockets and get a fresh signature. If the docket is right and the hours are wrong, correct the hours instead. If neither is true and the difference is simply fine, Accept it.

This does not stop you invoicing

This does not stop you invoicing. A drift shows up here because signing stamps the work rather than locking it — a worker out of range all week can still sync Monday's hours on Friday, after a docket has already gone out — and the disagreement has to surface somewhere honest rather than being invoiced over silently.
